​Gary Hall was born and raised in the north of England. He released his first album, Garage Heart for Run River Records in 1989, to much critical acclaim. This culminated in being voted second best album of the year in the Folk Roots’ end of year poll, sandwiched between Bob Dylan’s Oh Mercy and The Healer by John Lee Hooker. After an extensive European tour to promote the record with his band The Stormkeepers, Wide Open to the World was released in 1991 to more critical acclaim and an ever-growing live fan base.

​It was back in 2017 when I first booked Rodney, the first of quite a f ew shows that has has performed for me both at the old pub and also at our festivals, he simply never disappoints, you are in for a real treat here, and this one will sell out very very quickly!
The Texas-born troubadour who learned to play in Austin, perform in Los Angeles, craft songs in Nashville, and put it all together in London has played all types of music in all types of venues in his storied career. His adventurous, boundary-breaking guitar playing (sometimes at the same time) earning him the title "The Two Guitar Man" has led to performance invites across America, India, Africa, and Europe. He was personally picked by Sir Michael Eavis to headline the 10,000 people Glasto Extravaganza after only being discovered the day before.
